We asked Borderless-tokyo!
・What kind of troubles
were there in the past in this guest house?
We had complaints from the neighbors once when we commenced a party
and so many (around 40 people) came to it.
・How did you solve it?
We asked the residents to make a limit of people attending
parties and when walking to the nearest convenient store or to the
station, don't make loud noise until you are at a major road.
Our goal is to be known as "the guest house for grown ups"
so we are telling the reisdents to strictly follow the rule above
and be friendly with the neighbors
Whats the average
staying length for this guest hosue?
Average staying length at the moment is about 1year
We've got 8 rooms and since there are 6menbers who still lives here
since the opening day (which was 2 years ago) so I guess settlement
percentage is quite good. People from abroad who stays for 2-3month
in Japan uses the other 2 rooms so that's why the avarage length
goes down to 1 year.
From residents
1. Good point of this
guest hosue
Big. Especialy the common room is big so a lot of us comes here
to relax. Also, grocery store and rental video shop is close too
so it's really convenient.
2.Whats bad about
this guest house?
Bad point...The house is located in a crowded area so you will be
able to hear the next door neighbors noise.(sometimes yell) But
if you are closing your window, it's not much of a problem. Another
thing is you can feel that some neighbors arefeeling alert to us
because some of them aren't used to people from foriegn countries.
3.Any interaction?
Interacting with sharemates is a common thing in this house. There's
always someone there in the living room when you come home so you
can talk to them , make food together and eat, watch TV and laugh.
Other than that, we go out together on the day off and go to lunch,
watch movies together, At the same time, we respect oneanothers
and not to try to bother eachother so much.
4.About cleaning dutys
We manage our cleaning by making each person responsible for one
place.Cleaning areas are divided by, 1) Entrance, cooridor, stairs,2)
common room, 3) bath room 4) kitchen 5) toilet&sink One person
is in charge of common service charge and checks all the areas and
2people are responsible for garbages. Everybody has to do at least
4 times a month. In each area, there's a sheet of paper stuck on
the wall and whenever the person does their duties, they have to
write what they did and sign their name. After the cleaning is done,
the checker checks the area. |

Grading
the guest house
If you
can look at the photos, you'll see that it is fairly big guest house
with plenty of room. Everybody is doing their cleaning duty really
well !
Above all, the space of the common room is fantastic !
However,、in
other guest houses, usally a manager lives with the residents and
takes care of the house cleaning duties. So, you can say that all
the residents who lives in this guest house (where there's no manager
living here)are disciplined who follows thecleaning rules. Therefore,
maybe if you are a type of person who are a lazy, don't care about
others type, you might not fit in with the rest of the sharemates.
Also, as
mentioned by residents bad point of this guest house, if you are the
slightly nervous type of person who can't resist noises from next
doors, this is not the place. This Shinnakano guest house locates
at the back of the deadend street, so if your lifestyle is upside
down (in another words, sleep durring the day and move around durring
night time) you might have to be careful. But if you're the type of
person who hascooperativeness , doesn't care about noises to an extent,
and stay atcive durring daytime , and disciplined , this guest house
is perfect for you!!
Borderless-tokyo guest
houses are very suitable for people
who are looking for a place where they can interact with others. so
if you want to make good friends, Borderless-tokyo is a good recomendation
!!(^−^)

Party |
We borrowed a photo that shows a party that has been
done in this guest house. Other residents from Borderless-tokyo
